Orillia OPP is investigating a structure fire that sent one person to hospital.
At around 4 p.m. Thursday, Orillia Fire, OPP, and Simcoe County Paramedics responded to a fire on Westmount Drive South.
The blaze in the multi-unit structure was able to be brought under control, and fire crews were able to enter the premises. They were able to find one person who was given first aid before being transferred to hospital and is in stable condition.
Police say that one pet was lost in the fire.
The OPP’s Major Crime Unit and the Ontario Fire Marshal are continuing their investigation.
