This Saturday is the Household Hazardous Waste Collection event for Kincardine.
On May 11, the Public Works Yard at 140 Valentine Avenue will be accepting household hazardous waste from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Hazardous waste materials from homes, garages, and basements are being accepted for safe disposal.
Commercial and agricultural waste will not be accepted. Bruce County says that items like flares or ammunition will also not be accepted.
Household hazardous waste materials includes: paints and stains, propane tanks, used oil, aerosols, batteries, antifreeze, oil filters, solvents, household cleaners, fluorescent lights, fertilizers, fuel, pharmaceuticals, fire extinguishers, pesticides, and pool chemicals.
