Bruce County is planning an information session on the proposed Durham Street Bridge rehabilitation project.
The meeting is set for May 1 at the Walkerton District Knights of Columbus Hall starting at 7 p.m. with an open house and a formal presentation at 7:30 p.m.
The county says residents will be given an update on how the project has been going as well as details on construction, timing and traffic restrictions.
This is the latest after the county approved two alternate truck routes to come into effect during the rehabilitation.
The county started the environmental assessment process in 2021 to address any bridge issues which covers the Saugeen River along Bruce Road 4 in Walkerton.
The evaluations of the bridge have shown deterioration and the county is looking at rehabilitating the structure rather than replacing it.
The work is set to be done between this year and next year.
After the May 1 meeting, people will be able to provide their input until May 19.
