Owen Sound’s first household hazardous waste day of the year is this weekend.
Residents of Owen Sound, Chatsworth, Georgian Bluffs, Grey Highlands and Meaford can drop off old propane tanks, motor oil and other hazardous waste materials at the city’s public works facility on 20th Street East from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
Waste from farms, industrial and commercial operations aren’t accepted. There’s also several other types of materials that can’t be dropped off. You can find a full list on the city’s website.
