Northern Bruce Peninsula is going to look at awarding an over $1 million contract to replacement Judges Creek Bridge.
Council will consider awarding the just over $1 million tender to Bridge Excavating Ltd. to remove the existing bridges on the Concession 4 Sideroad and Side Road 10 and replace them with new structures.
This comes after the municipality issued a request for proposals on March 8, before closing on the 22.
Four responses were received, with Bridge Excavating being the least expensive.
A report from Public Works Manager Tory Cameron says, “of the four tenders received Bridge Excavating Ltd. were the only contractor to include a $15,000 credit, which will bring the project cost below the budget allocation of $1 million.”
The contract documents require all the work to be completed by Oct. 1.
Council will consider awarding this contract during its meeting on April 8 at 1 p.m.
