Hanover police say they have arrested a break and enter suspect after a foot chase.
Police Chief Chris Knoll says on Sunday, officers began investigating an early-morning attempted break-in, after a restaurant owner reportedly interrupted the suspect.
Police say the accused fled before they arrived, and officers began a search for the suspect.
Knoll says officers on patrol early this morning arrested a 34-year-old man after a foot chase down an alleyway in the downtown core.
Police say the man remains in custody and is charged with theft, mischief, possession of break and enter tools, and breach of probation related to an attempted break-in to a restaurant.
