Two people are now charged with impaired driving after Orillia OPP got a report of an incident at a local care home.
Police were called early yesterday afternoon when a resident of the home was leaving with two people without the staff’s knowledge.
A patrol was set up to try and find the people and the vehicle involved.
Around 40 minutes later, all of the individuals involved were located safe by officers, and the resident had left consensually.
Police found that the two people who had left with the resident were intoxicated. A 39-year-old woman from Orangeville and a 50-year-old man from Barrie are both facing drunk driving-related charges.
