Meaford is awarding an over $355,000 contract for an HVAC upgrade to Meaford Hall.
Council approved awarding the tender to Cimco Refrigeration Ltd. to replace a condenser, providing a new air-cooled chiller unit during a meeting on March 25.
The work will also include the disposal of the old condenser unit as well as replace the concrete foundation.
This replacement project falls within the $390,000 the municipality set in its 2024 budget.
The remaining $34,000 will be used to complete some initial preparation work, including pouring a concrete pad for the new condenser.
The delivery and installation is estimated to be done in 25 to 30 weeks if council approves the tender.
