West Grey is searching for a new Chief Administrative Officer.
Council approved entering into an agreement with Waterhouse Executive Search to find and recruit a new CAO for the municipality during a meeting on March 19.
This comes after the municipality had requested quotations for recruitment services for a CAO/Deputy Clerk.
The municipality received eight quotations by the closing date earlier this month, with Waterhouse costing $24,000.
Waterhouse Executive Search will help the municipality through this process by meeting with staff to review a timeline for the recruitment process and set deadlines, advertise the municipality is looking for a CAO, conduct a search for potential candidates and screen them, and assist in the interview and selection process.
A report from Interim CAO Kerri Mighton says, “Waterhouse demonstrated an extensive amount of recent experience in municipal recruitments, specifically for chief administrative officers. They estimate the assignment to be completed in six to eight weeks.”
