Two kids suffered minor injuries after being struck by a car in Markdale.
Grey Bruce OPP say they received a report of a collision between a vehicle and two pedestrians at the intersection of Toronto Street North (Highway 10) and Grey Road 12 just after 10:30 a.m. Thursday morning.
Two kids — ages six and 11 — were treated for minor injuries. They didn’t need to be taken to hospital. The OPP say the driver left the scene.
“Police attended and determined that the pedestrians were crossing at the crosswalk when the vehicle struck them,” Grey Bruce OPP say in a release.
OPP officers then canvassed the area for video surveillance to identify the driver and vehicle.
As a result, the OPP say an 89-year-old from Meaford was ticketed with Highway Traffic Act offences for failing to: remain, report accident and yield to pedestrians.
