OPP say a potential hostage situation prompted heavy police presence in Exeter.
Police crisis negotiators and tactical units were called to an address on Main Street South Friday, to reports of a possible hostage situation.
According to officers, nearby residences and businesses were evacuated.
OPP say the situation was ultimately deemed unfounded, and no charges have been laid.
