Thousands of students in Huron and Perth counties are at risk of suspension, due to incomplete immunization records.
Huron Perth Public Health says nearly 2,900 records remain incomplete, down from the initial 5,100.
These students are either missing immunizations required for school attendance, their immunizations have not been reported to public health, or they do not have a valid exemption on file.
According to the Immunization of School Pupils Act, students with incomplete immunization records could be suspended from school.
In late April, HPPH will mail suspension notices to students who have not provided proof of up-to-date immunizations.
School suspensions will begin on May 23rd, 2024.
