Huronia West OPP responded to a single-occupant plane crash in Springwater Township.
On March 4th, OPP was called to a plane that had crashed in a farm field near Edenvale in the area of Highway 26 and Strongville Rd.
The pilot was the only occupant in the aircraft and was able to conduct an emergency landing of the plane, escaping uninjured.
The aircraft caught fire but a quick response from emergency crews at the scene were able to contain and put the fire out.
At this time, it is unclear what caused the pilot to conduct an emergency landing and ground the aircraft.
The aircraft has been removed from the field, and motorists travelling in the area should not expect any delays.
