A Flesherton resident is among a group of coworkers who have won the lottery.
A release from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) says a group of six people won $100,000 [CLIP]laying Encore in the December 26th, 2023 Lotto Max draw.
The group members are:
Gerald Grootendorst of Flesherton
Massimo Barone of Alliston
Chadwick Robson of Alliston
Darrell Gauley of Alliston
Grant Enman of Glencairn
Nancy Coughler of Orangeville
They all work in the automotive industry and have been playing the lottery together for about four years.
Group member Massimo Barone says he purchased the ticket on Christmas Eve and forgot about it. The group members say they didn’t believe it at first when Barone checked his ticket and told them they won.
Nancy Coughler of Orangeville says, “We are good friends and this win brought us closer together and bonded us.”
The OLG says some plans for the group members include going on vacation, saving, purchasing a vehicle. completing some home renovations and putting it towards their children’s education.
The winning ticket was purchased at Zehrs on King Street in Alliston.
