Hanover Police say they have arrested a 34-year-old woman on an outstanding OPP warrant.
Police say she was initially spotted walking on 10th Ave in Hanover.
They say after a search of the area, the suspect was found hiding inside a dryer of a laundromat a short distance away.
Meanwhile, in an unrelated call for service, Hanover police say they arrested a 39 year old Waterloo man after receiving a call about a suspicious man checking car doors early Thursday morning.
Police Chief Chris Knoll says the man was arrested for allegedly ‘lurking’ around a residence on 7th Ave.
Knoll says the man faces charges of Attempt Theft, Possession of Break-in Instruments & Trespassing at Night.
He adds, “This is a fine example of our citizens and our police members working together to ensure our community remains safe and secure. Kudos to the night shift officers for the quick response and keen observations that resulted in this arrest.”
