The Celebrity Hockey Classic for Easter Seals is set for Friday in Port Elgin.
Easter Seals Development Manager for Central Ontario Charlene Myke says local hockey enthusiasts will have a chance to play against former NHL greats at the Plex in Port Elgin.
NHL alumni scheduled to attend include Wendel Clark, Brad May, Andre Roy and Guy Carbonneau.
The event raises money for Easter Seals which advocates for children and youth with physical disabilities.
“The real winners at the end of all this are the kids in your community that we’ve been able to support because of this event. It’s all about the kids and the families,” says Myke.
The hockey matches start at 8 Friday morning and go into the afternoon. Everyone is welcome to watch the tournament. Donations will go towards Easter Seals.
