An April PD Day for students in Huron and Perth counties is changing.
The Avon Maitland and Huron Perth Catholic District School Boards announced the PD Day scheduled for Friday April 19th has been moved to Monday, April 8th.
Both school boards cite the solar eclipse as the reason for the change.
“Due to the timing of this event and the possible risk to student and staff eye safety, we believe that rescheduling the PA Day from April 19 to April 8 will significantly reduce this risk,” a release from the AMDSB says.
Several school boards around Ontario have rescheduled PD days, to coincide with the April 8th solar eclipse.
