Some nasty, wintry weather is expected to wallop the Grey Bruce region today.
Showers this morning are expected to change to ice pellets and snow in the afternoon, as the temperature plunges. Environment Canada has issued a flash freeze warning for the Grey Bruce region.
“A dramatic change in temperatures is expected this afternoon with the passage of a sharp cold front. Temperatures are expected to go from well above freezing to below freezing within a few hours,” Environment Canada says in its warning. “Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots will become icy, slippery and hazardous.”
There’s also snow in the forecast. Flurries, squalls and blowing snow are expected tonight. Anywhere between 15-25 centimetres could fall, and then another 5-10 Thursday morning.
