Orillia OPP’s Community Street Crimes Unit has laid drug trafficking charges following an investigation that led to the seizure of drugs and cash.
Police started their investigation last month into a person who was allegedly trafficking drugs into the city. This past Thursday, police arrested the person thought to be responsible.
Through their investigation, officers seized:
- 31 grams cocaine
- 35 oxycodone pills
- 1 gram MDMA (ecstasy)
- two digital scales
- two cellular devices
- gold chain and brooch – valued at $30,000
- $4,380 in Canadian currency
A 21-year-old Orillia man is charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and possession of a Schedule 1 substance.
He’s expected in court in April.
