The Northern Bruce Peninsula Fire Department is reminding people to make sure their smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors are working.
They say on Thursday night, a family in Tobermory was alerted to high levels of carbon monoxide in their home by a working carbon monoxide alarm.
The fire department says it saved their lives.
