Florian Xhekaj scored with 5:52 remaining in the second period to break a 0-0 tie, and Matteo Drobac shut things down making 24 saves for his third shutout of the season, as the Brantford Bulldogs blanked the Owen Sound Attack 3-0 in Ontario Hockey League action Friday night at Brantford Civic Centre.
Zakary Lavoie and Lawson Sherk also scored for Brantford (29-16-6-2), which won its third straight game.
The Attack (25-22-4-2) lost their fifth in the past seven games.
Drobac made 24 saves in the win, while Carter George stopped 28 taking the loss. The Bulldogs outshot the Attack 31-24 while going 1 for 5 on the power play; Owen Sound finished 0 for 2.
Saturday, the Attack host London (38-12-0-3) at the Bayshore. Game time is 7 p.m.
