The Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is seeking the public’s assistance with identifying three suspects involved in an armed residential robbery in Springwater Township.
On January 27, 2024, at approximately 4:45 a.m., three suspects with weapons forcefully entered a residence on St Vincent Street. A number of residents were present, and one victim was assaulted suffering minor injuries which were treated on location by Georgian Ambulance paramedics. An undisclosed amount of cash and cellphones were stolen.
The three suspects are described as males with dark skin wearing dark clothing, hoods, masks, and gloves.
The suspects fled in a dark coloured, 4-door hatchback traveling southbound on St. Vincent Street. It is suspected that the suspect vehicle is related to a Failure to Stop by the Barrie Police following the incident.
Members of the Huronia West Detachment Crime Unit is continuing the investigation with assistance of the Orillia Detachment Crime Unit and OPP Forensic Identification Services.
