A new centre is coming to the Sydenham Campus in Owen Sound to help local entrepreneurs.
Catapult Grey Bruce, a non-profit supporting entrepreneurs in the region, says Georgian College’s Henry Bernick Entrepreneurship Centre (HBEC) will set up at the campus this year and assist entrepreneurs grow their businesses by connecting them to supports.
The supports include training, business connections, funding, and mentorship.
“In Grey County alone, there are more than 12,000 business, 70 per cent are small to medium sized enterprises, demonstrating the need for accelerator services,” says Catapult Grey Bruce.
The organization says starting this year, they will transition from Catapult to the Henry Bernick Centre, which will support area businesses.
Catapult Grey Bruce Chair Courtney Denard says, “Catapult Grey Bruce is thrilled to be a part of this transition. From day one, our goal has been to deliver the highest level of support possible for local entrepreneurs. Moving into the HBEC will allow that to continue and will add even more opportunities for business owners in Grey Bruce.”
