It just wasn’t the Owen Sound Attack’s day.
Max McCue, Sam O’Reilly, Oliver Bonk and Jackson Edward all had four point efforts as the London Knights scored early and often in a 10-0 rout of the Attack in Ontario Hockey League action Sunday afternoon at Budweiser Gardens.
The Knights (29-11-0-1) scored five in the first, two in the second and three in the third to pick up their 12th straight win.
The Attack (18-19-2-1) dropped their fourth in a row.
The start of the game was delayed by an hour – originally scheduled for 2 p.m. — because of some travel troubles for the Attack.
Michael Simpson made 28 saves in the win, while Corbin Votary stopped 37 taking the loss. The Knights outshot the Attack 47-28 while going 1 for 6 on the power play; Owen Sound finished 0 for 4.
Thursday, the Attack start an Eastern Conference road swing with a stop in Peterborough to face the Petes (15-19-4-1).
