A couple dozen people were charged with impaired driving during Grey Bruce OPP’s holiday enforcement campaign.
Grey Bruce OPP ran its annual festive Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) campaign from Nov. 16, 2023 until Jan. 1, 2024.
Provincial Police say officers conducted more than 160 RIDE checks during that period. Twenty-eight drivers were charged with impaired driving related offences.
“Drivers are reminded that the OPP conducts RIDE events throughout the year as part of its ongoing efforts to save lives on Ontario roads,” Provincial Police say in a release.
