A Blue Mountains man faces charges after a long drug investigation.
The Collingwood and Blue Mountains OPP Community Street Crimes Unit has concluded a several months long investigation into what they allege is a high level cocaine trafficker in Collingwood and the surrounding communities.
OPP say it resulted in the arrest of two men and the seizure of over a kilogram of cocaine and other drugs.
On December 14th, search warrants were executed at three locations where police say they seized a kilogram brick of cocaine, powder cocaine and methamphetamine as well as other items which they assert provide evidence of drug trafficking, worth an estimated street value of over $100,000.
A 43 year old Blue Mountains man faces possession for the purpose of trafficking charges for cocaine and meth, as well as possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime.
A 45 year old Midland man is also facing possession the purpose of trafficking charges
OPP say in a statement, “This investigation has made a significant impact in the illegal trafficking of drugs in multiple communities.”
