A program has kicked off in Huron County to create a database of security cameras across the region.
Huron OPP say the CAMSafe program documents residential and business security cameras that may act as a resource for police during an investigation.
The CAMSafe system gives officers a map of a given area, where they can click on registered addresses with a camera to find contact details for homeowners and businesses owners.
Police stress, officers cannot access your security cameras or cloud-based accounts, but would make a request to the camera owner.
