Clearview Township is changing its library hours on a trial basis between January and June.
A pilot project redistributing opening hours at all Clearview Public Library Branches will run from January 2nd to June 30th, 2024. There are no changes to the overall open hours for each branch, they have just been redistributed based on survey feedback and traffic counts.
In June of this year, the Clearview Public Library conducted an online and in-branch survey and took gate counts over two separate week-long periods to determine the current usage. The pilot project with redistributed hours for each branch was approved at the November 21st Clearview Public Library Board meeting.
The redistribution of opening hours will see the Stayner branch open on Sundays for the first time, remove the split hours at the Creemore branch Tuesdays to Fridays and shuffle the hours at the New Lowell Branch to better match current demand.
From January 2nd to June 30th, 2024, the new branch hours will be:
Stayner Branch
Tuesday – Friday, 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Saturday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Sunday, 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Creemore Branch
Tuesday – Friday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Saturday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
New Lowell Branch
Tuesday & Friday, 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Wednesday & Thursday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Saturday, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
The pilot project will be evaluated after it concludes on June 30th to determine if the new hours will become permanent.
