An attempted murder charge has been laid in Grey Highlands.
Grey Bruce OPP say on Thursday, December 7th at approximately 9:45 a.m., officers received a call for assistance from a home on South Line B.
Police say, upon arrival at the home, they found an unresponsive infant. Grey County Paramedics, Chatsworth firefighters and OPP worked to resuscitate the child.
The 10-month-old victim was transported to hospital in London with life-threatening injuries.
Police have charged a 30 year old Grey Highlands woman with attempted murder and aggravated assault.
The accused remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
The Grey Bruce Crime Unit is continuing the investigation under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.
