It looks like there are plans to install a Rogers wireless tower on Purple Valley Road in the Wiarton area.
The Town of South Bruce Peninsula has received a proposal from Rogers Communications Canada Inc. to put up a tower on private property.
A staff report says, “Rogers representatives have sent notification to the Town that they are working in our area to improve connectivity services.”
It will give local subscribers 4G/5G wireless network coverage and greater capacity for wireless internet.
