The numbers are in from a couple of recent food drives hosted by Grey Bruce OPP.
The Grey Bruce OPP auxiliary unit conducted drives at Foodland in Wiarton and Fretz’s Value Mart in Sauble Beach last Saturday, Nov. 25.
Provincial Police say the efforts brought in more than 1,600 pounds of food, and about $1,200 in cash donations.
All of the proceeds will be given to the local area food bank.
