Goderich has a new member of council after a special meeting on Monday.
Eleven candidates applied for their chance to claim the open seat on council that was open.
After four rounds of voting resulting in a tie between hopefuls Vanessa Kelly and Michael Daley, town clerk Andrea Fisher had to draw lots to select the new member of council.
Kelly’s name was drawn, making her the newest member of Goderich Council.
She’ll be sworn in during the next regular meeting on November 27th.
