Saugeen Shores police say their annual Shop with a Cop event was a success.
They say they were able to buy $1,200 worth of groceries for local food banks.
The event sees local students raise money and then shop with police for food banks.
Each local school raised around $300. Vanderwerf’s Your Independent Grocer also donated $200 to the Saugeen First Nation Food Bank.
After the event, officers took all the kids out for hot drinks and snacks which was also sponsored by the local rotary clubs.
