Charges have been laid, nearly a month after a tractor collided with a building in downtown Seaforth.
Police were called to 33 Main Street in Seaforth the evening of October 13th, when a tractor drove through the entrance of a realty business.
Residents in the upper level of the building were home at the time of the crash, police say, and were uninjured.
Huron OPP have charged a 23 year old Huron East resident with:
- Red Light – Fail to Stop
- Careless Driving
- Fail to Remain
A section of Main Street in Seaforth has been closed since the incident, with Huron East officials estimating the roadway will be re-opened the first week of December.
In an update from the municipality, asbestos has been found inside the damaged building, and must be removed before work can be completed on the damaged brick facade.
