Matthew Soto scored twice on power play advantage in the first period and the Kingston Frontenacs went on to beat the Owen Sound Attack 4-3.
The attack were down 4-0 before they attempted a comeback, but fell just one goal short.
Saturday, the Attack, who have lost three in a row, will be at home against the Kitchener Rangers.
