COVID-19 vaccine clinics have been scheduled for high-risk populations in Huron and Perth counties.
Huron Perth Public Health says the clinics will take place at their sites in:
- West Gore site: Tuesday Oct. 17 and Thursday, Oct. 26
- Clinton site: Thursday Oct. 19 and Tuesday, Oct. 24
Health officials say appointments must be made through the Provincial Vaccine Contact Centre at 1-833-943-3900 (or TTY: 1-866-797-0007 for people who are deaf, hearing-impaired or speech-impaired).
Those eligible can also book online here.
High-risk individuals eligible for the vaccine include:
- Residents and staff of congregate living settings (e.g., chronic care facilities, retirement homes)
- Pregnant individuals
- Individuals 65 years of age, and older
- All children 6 months to 4 years of age [influenza risk]
- Individuals who are from a First Nation, Inuit or Métis community, and/or who self-identify as
- First Nation, Inuit, or Métis, and their household members
- Individuals 6 months of age and older with underlying health conditions per NACI (Influenza & COVID-19)
- Members of racialized and other equity deserving communities
- Health care workers and first responders
