Four charges have been laid in an armed robbery case in Wingham.
Police say they were called to a retail business on Josephine Street, after the owner says a suspect shoplifted items and brandished a boxcutter knife, demanding the store owner’s wristwatch.
According to OPP, the suspect was found a short time later at a nearby restaurant, still in possession of the knife.
A 34 year old of no fixed address has been charged with:
- Robbery with a Weapon,
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose,
- Theft Under $5,000,
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
