The Owen Sound Attack are announcing some player signings.
Forward Harry Nansi and defenceman Sam Ethier are officially in the fold with the Attack, after the team inked them to Ontario Hockey League scholarship and development agreements.
Nansi, 16, was selected by Owen Sound in the fourth-round, 74th overall, of the 2023 OHL Priority Selection. He recorded 21 goals and 26 assists in 35 games playing with the Nepean Raiders U18 AAA program during the 2022-23 season.
“He fits the Owen Sound Attack mold of a player,” says Attack General Manager Dale DeGray in a statement from the team. “He’s big, fast and skilled. He had a great rookie camp and showed just as well at main camp which earned him a spot in our organization.”
Ethier, 17, was a first-round pick of the Attack, 10th overall, in the 2023 OHL U18 Priority Selection. He also played minor hockey in the Ottawa area. Last season, the 6-foot, 181-pound blueliner recorded 21 goals and 23 assists playing with the Rockland Nationals U18 AAA program.
“Sam came into camp and impressed from the get go,” DeGray says. “He plays a solid two way game and has a physicality to his game that makes him a great fit for our (defence core). We are looking forward to seeing how he performs in game situations in the preseason.”
