Southern Georgian Bay OPP says that a firearm incident earlier this month has been upgraded to a homicide investigation.
Just after 2 o’clock on the afternoon of August 17, OPP responded to a call regarding gunshots outside of a residence on Maple Street in Tay Township.
One person was taken to hospital with apparent gunshot wounds and was airlifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.
The victim died earlier today from their injuries.
Police believe that this is an isolated incident.
