Panagiotis Katehos of Barrie can “find his possible” after winning a LOTTO 6/49 second prize worth $259,946.50 in the July 19, 2023 LOTTO 6/49 draw.
Panagiotis, a 67-year-old father and grandfather, said he’s been playing the lottery since the beginning. He enjoys playing LOTTO 6/49, LOTTARIO, and INSTANT tickets. This is his largest win to date!
The retiree was having a coffee on his balcony when he decided to check his tickets on the OLG App. “I didn’t win anything on the first few, but then I scanned my winning ticket! At first, I thought I’d won $259,” he explained, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “As I looked closer, the number kept growing on me – I was in pure shock!”
In disbelief, Panagiotis called his daughter and asked her to double check his ticket. He then shared the news with his wife and the rest of his children. “Everyone was thrilled for me and said I deserve this win,” he smiled.
With his windfall, Panagiotis plans to take his family on a nice vacation. “I am forever grateful,” he concluded.
