Orillia OPP has laid charges following their investigation into a bank robbery last month.
A 54-year-old man from Quebec is charged with:
– Robbery using a firearm – two counts
– Disguise with intent – two counts
– Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition – two counts
– Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
– Possession of a prohibited device
The robbery took place on July 6 when the suspect went into a financial institution in Orillia and demanded cash from the teller.
Through police investigation involving the OPP Central Region Major Crime Unit (Nottawasaga OPP, Orillia OPP) along with Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE), Barrie Police Service, York Regional Police Service, and Quebec City Police, who was then found in Quebec.
