The South Bruce Grey Health Centre says its Durham Hospital emergency department will be closed overnight Tuesday, August 1st.
There are other upcoming closures as well.
A release says they don’t have sufficient staffing to stay open overnight.
The ER will be closed Tuesday, August 1st from 5 p.m. to Wednesday, August 2nd at 7 a.m.
It will also be closed for part of the weekend on Friday, August 4th from 5 p.m. to Sunday August 6th at 7 p.m.
A previously planned closure for August 8th has now been removed, and the ER is expected to remain open on that date.
The South Bruce Grey Health Centre says ambulance by-pass has been undertaken to divert patients to the nearest open ED.
They say anyone requiring immediate medical attention should call 911 to be taken to the nearest Emergency Department.
