Georgian Bluffs is looking for input on its draft Corporate Climate Action Plan.
The township says the plan will help guide it as it seeks to further reduce its environmental impact.
It adds climate change is already impacting infrastructure and communities in the township and the action plan establishes how the municipality can respond. Through the plan, the township aims to mitigate climate impacts by lowering its greenhouse gas emissions, and adapting to climate changes already being felt by adjusting it approach to looking after its infrastructure.
Acting CAO and Director of Community and Environmental Services Niall Lobley says they are eager to hear community feedback on the plan and how well it responds to what residents want the municipality to do to address climate change.
Those interested in offering input on the action plan can share their thoughts on the engage Georgian Bluffs website here.
