Owen Sound Police are reminding residents to keep themselves safe from attempted fraud calls.
The police service has been learning of scams where callers are receiving unsolicited calls from people claiming to be employees of the justice system.
They say that recently, there have been people receiving calls claiming to be from the Attorney General’s office, or from another legitimate justice partner.
Unsolicited incoming calls are typically to trick people into giving personal information in order to commit fraud or identity theft.
Police say that organizations involved in the justice system would not make these sorts of calls.
