Bruce County is holding its next Household Hazardous Waste Day this weekend in Walkerton.
Set for June 24 between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Transportation Year at 94 Bruce Road 2, residents will be able to dispose of a number of materials.
These include paints, propane tanks, used oil, aerosols, batteries, antifreeze, oil filters, solvents, household cleaners, fluorescent lights, fertilizers, fuel, pharmaceuticals, fire extinguishers, pesticides, and pool chemicals.

Additionally, only containers with a volume of 30 litres or less will be accepted and the waste must be received in containers that can be disposed of. Also, containers will not be emptied and returned.
Attendees of the event must remain in their vehicle with waste materials in their open trunk only for unloading.
