The Roxy Theatre’s Executive Director says the Owen Sound Little Theatre had an incredible 2022-23 season.
Marcia Cunningham says they had a full season with Owen Sound Little Theatre productions, The Roxy Presents series, The Roxy Young Company, and The Roxy Star Company.
“This year we started The Roxy Star Company which is a program for adults with disabilities and on June 29, we have our first show and that is The Roxy Star Company Talent Show,” says Cunningham. “I think it is going to be a wonderful event.”
Cunningham says looking back on the season and operating on the heels of the pandemic, The Roxy offered one show of each of its performances where masking was required.
“We certainly learned through this season that we were missed, that people missed coming to the theatre and spending the time together. Our members and volunteers missed spending the time with one another as well and so we really approached the season with a lot of enthusiasm. But we were really just met with a lot of really great enthusiasm by the community as well,” says Cunningham.
Cunningham adds information about the 2023-2024 season will also be unveiled soon.
