The provincial government says the County of Simcoe can resume managing the Sunset Manor long-term care home in Collingwood.
It has lifted an order which has seen a management company oversee operations for the last couple of years.
In June of 2021, the ministry of long-term care ordered the home not to accept any new residents because of non-compliance with regulations. New admissions were permitted again starting in January of this year, but the home remained under supervision.
As of this week, the ministry says it’s satisfied the home has returned to compliance.
