Saugeen Shores Police are looking for witnesses who observed a single vehicle collision in Port Elgin over the weekend.
Town Police say officers responded to a report of a collision in the area of Ridge and Catherine Streets around 4:45 p.m. Saturday.
Police say they received information a Dodge truck had driven off the road and collided with an electrical box. The driver then fled on foot from the vehicle.
Saugeen Shores Police say a perimeter was formed in the area and the suspect driver was located on Market Street.
Police allege he was displaying obvious signs of intoxication. The 22-year-old Hanover man was arrested and charged a few offences, including impaired operation and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
