You may notice some military vehicles around Owen Sound and Hanover this week.
The Department of National Defence says soldiers from Base Transport, CFB Borden will be conducting driver training through a road move from CFB Borden to Owen Sound and Hanover on June 1st.
They say it will take place between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Vehicles may be seen along ON-26, ON-89, Grey County Rd 3, Bruce Rd 10, and Grey County Rd 4.
CFB Borden Base Transport regularly conducts driver training among its members. The conduct of these exercises allows members to practice and hone their skills as they prepare for a variety of situations, whether it be while they are at home or deployed abroad.
The department says, “At no time will this training pose a risk to local population or infrastructure; rigorous road and vehicle safety standards will be strictly observed.”
