The OPP is welcoming 21 new officers to the force after graduation in Orillia on Friday.
The new provincial constables completed their training at the Ontario Provincial Police Academy, and have been deployed to their new detachments:
– Caledon – 3 officers
– Dufferin – 4 officers
– Haliburton Highlands – 4 officers
– Huntsville – 1 officer
– Huronia West – 1 officer
– Northumberland – 2 officers
– Nottawasaga – 5 officers
– Southern Georgian Bay – 1 officer
The Chief Superintendent, Karl Thomas, who is the Regional Commander for the OPP Central Region says that the new officers bring a wealth of knowledge and perspectives with their diverse backgrounds and experiences.
